SINGAPORE!
Now, what is better than great food available 24/7?
The widest VARIETY of excellent food.
I like food. I have immense affection for good food. I am spoilt for choice(s) in Singapore. Plus, I have access to these choices whenever I am hungry, whether it is at 3am in the morning or at regular meal-times.
Instead of having just the cherry on top of the icing, on top of the cake, I get to have also the strawberry, blueberry, raspberry, gooseberry, mango, coconut, pineapple, jackfruit, melon, chocolate fudge, granola, nuts ok, you get my point(s).
I think I could write a dozen encyclopedias about Singaporeans and their love for food. But seriously, all we need is to decide how much money we can afford to spend on food. Without proper financial planning, I could go bankrupt from eating. Without discipline and exercise, I could explode from eating.
While others have wine festivals and music festivals, Singapore has Food Festivals. Food paradise just doesn’t quite describe the amazing range.
Favorite foods in Singapore include, of course, the local specialties like Chilli Crab, Black Pepper Crab, White Pepper Crab, (Snow Crab or Sri Lankan Crab) Curry Fish Head (Indian style or Chinese style), Laksa, Rojak, Hainanese Chicken Rice, Drunken Prawns, Crispy-skin Chicken, Satay, Bak Kut Teh, Fried Carrot Cake, Roti Prata, and I cannot go on without salivating.
For SGD$3, I could have a bowl of delicious spicy Laksa noodles. For less than SGD$10, I could eat my fill of freshly prepared dishes at any of the many hawker centers and food courts, which are accessible within 30 minutes. For SGD$30++, I could have All-You-Can-Eat authentic Japanese buffet. For SGD$49.90++, I could have the most succulent, juicy, tender, prime cut piece of steak (medium rare). Whether I have just 3 dollars or 3 hundred, I could enjoy a satisfying meal.
Singapore is just a little red dot on the world map, but it is BIG on variety of international cuisines. Japanese Sushi, Korean BBQ, Thai Tom Yam, Indian Tandoori, Vietnamese Spring Roll, Shanghainese Xiaolongbao (Soup Dumpling), and there is more than just Asian cuisines. Also available are world-famous American Tony Roma’s Baby Back Ribs, Lawry’s Prime Ribs, Dan Ryan’s Chicago Grill, Subway Sandwich, Italian Al Forno Trattoria, Cafe Del Mar and I have not even started on desserts.
If anyone needs more convincing, here are some websites.

But if you are in Singapore, I don’t think these are even necessary. It takes less time to turn a street corner and tuck into a good meal. Just eat and enjoy!
