China Grill This is the place to be seen as it is loaded with celebrities who dine when visiting Chicago. Located in the Hard Rock, food is served family style so therefore portions are large and the many specialties include appetizers and entrees made with seafood.

Dragonfly Mandarin Winner three years in a row for Best Chinese Restaurant in Chicago on Citysearch.com and number one on msn.com, so they must be doing something right. They follow a tradition menu but Sunday offers a dim sum brunch for only $15.

The Opera – Located on the South Loop, this restaurant was rated number one by locals. Touted as a cuisine of “Chinese with modern presentations,” this unusual name pertains to the Chinese operas with bright color and modern design everywhere. The menu is prepared to order and well worth the wait.

The Shanghai Terrace – Situated in the 5 star Peninsula Hotel, you can dine on the breathtaking outside terrace on a warm night overlooking the skyline of Chicago or chose the tastefully decorated main room. Needless to say dining at The Shanghai Terrace is pricey with entrees at $50, but well worth the price for gourmet fare.
